Launched in September 2018, our project is examining how resilience is translated into practice, whether it fosters collaboration across city departments and stakeholders, and if this collaboration leads to more integrative plans that reduce vulnerability to flooding. We are combining surveys, interviews, social network analysis, and plan evaluation in four U.S. coastal cities at the forefront of flood resilience planning: Baltimore, Maryland; Boston, Massachusetts; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Seattle, Washington.
